Susan Briski
Starting as a child, Susan’s friends teased her because she wouldn’t leave outings until they had picked up all their litter, and everyone else’s too. After 20 years as an engineer and manager at high tech companies, Susan reconnected to that early passion for creating a healthy environment for people to live and work. She now has eight years experience in sustainable business consulting as founder at Sustainable Progress Consulting and teaches about sustainable business practices in the Green MBA at Dominican University of California.
Her specialty is helping clients improve resource efficiency using a variety of tools and methods: sustainability education, opportunity assessments, environmental and sustainability management systems based on ISO 14001, carbon foot printing and reduction strategies using the latest protocols, and project management.
Susan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; an M.B.A. in Environmental Entrepreneurship; an M.A. in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Communities; and is a fellow of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy. She also volunteers in her community to promote sustainable businesses (including co-founding the annual Sustainable Enterprise Conference) and neighborhoods, and is making her home more sustainable with efficiency projects and by growing organic food.
